TRIPOLIS FACTORY
The main production unit of C. Rokas SA is located at the
Tripolis Industrial Zone (180 km south of Athens). The plant
has modern processing machinery for steel constructions and
holds a place amongst the most modern factories in its field.
The full equipment of the factory combined with the highly
trained and experienced personnel as well as the quality
control system, guarantees high production quality based on
international standards.
Rokas holds an ISO 9001 Quality Certification according to the
international standards, of ELOT and Veritas Hellenique. Rokas
also holds DIN 18800-7 and EURONORM 729-2 certification of SLV
Berlin- Brandenburg for conducting welding works. The above
certifications grant Rokas an outstanding position among the
international competition.
The factory’s main equipment and facilities include:
AUTOMATIC RAW MATERIAL SANDBLASTING AND
PAINTING UNIT.
AUTOMATIC FLAME CUTTING TABLES (2). The biggest can cut
plates up to 6.2m width and 23m long.
PLATE CUTTING SHEARS for plates up to 12mm thick and 6m
wide.
AUTOMATIC PROGRAMMABLE DRILLING MACHINE (NC) AND AUTOMATIC
(NC) DISC SAW FOR EXTRUSIONS.
ROLLING MACHINES (3), for plates up to 70mm thick and
3m wide.
BENDING MACHINE 400t, for plates of 6m wide
ROBOT SYSTEMS FOR AUTOMATIC WELDING (2). Fully
computerised, 9 motion axes available. The Robots, the welding
machines and equipment are fully updated, programmable for
continuous vertical production. Maximum working envelopes:
LXWXH 30mx2.5mx2.0m and 60mx3.0mx2.5m.
AUTOMATIC SUBMERGED ARC WELDING MACHINES (6).Three in
column and boom configuration and three tractors.
BOX WELDING STATION (1). Equipped with two SAW heads.
Can weld box sections from 800X800mm up to 3500X3500mm.Welding
length up to 60m.
AUTOMATED PANEL LINE(1). For welding plates to get the
required panel length and for positioning longitudinal
stiffeners. Can handle up to 40m panel length. Panel width
from 0.8m up to 3,5m.
NC BORING MACHINES (5), with spindle diameter up to
Ö200mm.
VERTICAL BOHRING MILL (Carousel) (1), with working
table of 6.5m diameter.
HORIZONTAL LATHES (8), three of them are CNC.
HYDRAULIC PRESSES up to 800t.
CRANES (24), of lifting capacity up to 100t.
SANDBLASTING AND PAINTING BOOTHS. For surface treatment
and painting of the final products. Can handle pieces up to
6.5m width, 5.0 m height and 50m long. In the painting booth,
both humidity and temperature can be controlled.

WORKSITES
C. ROKAS SA undertakes projects having full responsibility for
their complete erection and installation on-site. The company
employs specialized and experienced erection teams, as well as
the necessary equipment and facilities, such as automotive
cranes and, worksite tools and forklifts.
